CENER 21, as the national partner of Balkan Green Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is pleased to announce the three green business ideas selected to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Balkan Green Ideas (BGI) 2026 Regional Competition, which will take place from 3 to 5 November 2026 at ITP Prizren, Kosovo.
Following the national application and evaluation process, three innovative initiatives were selected for their potential to contribute to environmental protection, sustainable entrepreneurship and local community development.
Meet the selected finalists
LANENO – Green Idea Concept (LOT 1)
LANENO focuses on the development of sustainable textile products, promoting responsible material use and environmentally conscious production practices. The initiative aims to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the textile industry while encouraging more sustainable consumption.
Brick.Block.ba – Advanced Green Idea (LOT 2)
Brick.Block.ba introduces an innovative approach to textile waste recycling by transforming discarded textiles into decorative blocks for interior design. The initiative promotes circular economy principles by giving waste materials a new purpose and creating value from resources that would otherwise be discarded.
Chupsi Functional Snacks – Advanced Green Idea (LOT 2)
Chupsi Functional Snacks develops innovative snack products using surplus locally sourced fruit and brewer’s spent grain. By turning underutilized food resources into value-added products, the initiative aims to reduce food waste while exploring more sustainable packaging solutions.
Next step: Regional Competition in Prizren
The three selected finalists will have the opportunity to present their business ideas to an international jury and compete with green entrepreneurs from across the Western Balkans for regional awards and mentoring support.
