CENER21 plays a major role in creating a regional platform for nature conservation planning in Southeast Europe with the aim to strengthen regional implementation of common conservation standards. We provide strong support to the expansion of protected area systems in the region and we are devoted to capacity building for effective management of biodiversity.
CENER21 works with governments and regulators to help establish and develop policy and regulatory frameworks required to support nature conservation and promote biodiversity. Through partnerships in the region and EU, CENER 21 empowers economic development of local communities, unlocking the potential of protected areas through the development of pro-biodiversity businesses, aiming to enhance sustainable rural growth.
