NCPC BH as a Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) member participated in Seminar on „The Belt and Road“ Climate Finance organized by Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, Tsinghua University and United Nations Green Climate Fund (UN GCF). 28 trainees from 24 Belt and Road Initiative countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, joined on this 2-week journey in Beijing and Dongguan from 1st to 14th September 2019 to get acquainted with China’s strategies, policies, measures and actions in response to climate change.
In addition to classroom instructions, seminar included case teaching, on-site learning and on-the-spot investigation. 2022 Winter Olympics Shougang Park, Microgrid projects in Yanqing District, PVC application project of TUS-Clean Energy Group— Qiaobo Ski Museum, TusPark, China-Latin America Joint Laboratory for Clean Energy and Climate Change were investigated for on-site learning. Nonlocal visit and exchange included Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, Tsinghua Innovation Center in Dongguan, Dongguan Songshan Lake High-tech Park and Dongguan University of Technology.
Training program served as a networking platform that will help NCPC BH to improve their management abilities and technology levels in formulating strategies and policies in response to climate change and green low-carbon development, promoting low-carbon energy-saving technologies and industrial development and boosting climate finance.
